ABOUT THE BOOK
ERRATA: The following errors were not found until after the book went to press:
- Mark Walton (pg 105) was not hired from Channel 5 in D.C. He was the White HOuse Correspondent at ITNA.
- David "Koff," pages 95,97 should be "Copp"
- "Bill" Beckham, pages 59-61,264,313,360 should be "Paul" Beckham
- "Gerry" Levin, mentioned throughout book, should be "Jerry," although name is Gerald
- The word "ayatollah" should be capitalized ("Ayatollah") throughout
- Pete Rose's batting streak ended August 2, "1978," not in "1998"
- Kandy Stroud, pages 110,143, started at Women's Wear Daily but was hired from WRC, NBC's O&O. Her resume also includes the New York Times.
- On the day that Reagan was shot, it was not ABC, but NBC, that actually had the pool tape. The NBC tape was of such poor quality that nobody even wanted it.
Bill "Gantley", pages 58, 91 should be Bill Ganley
